Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging
The program I direct is aimed at the development of magnetic resonance imaging in its widest possible applications for both diagnostic and physiologic studies. The area of diagnosis most applicable to the diabetic population relates to the further development of noninvasive methods for the measurement of vascular patency and tissue perfusion, in the cerebral, peripheral and (most challenging) coronary circulation.
